Raised in 1900, the building’s elegant appearance lends a defining presence to the two streets it overlooks. With its stately air and striking oriel windows at the very top, it is the queen of buildings on Mierendorff Island. Its façade was extensively renovated in 2018, with the stairwells repainted and modernised and a completely redesigned courtyard, restoring the building to its original splendour.
