The Building

As an extension of Kollwitzstraße, Senefelder Straße 21 closes a gap in the building dating back to 1899. Now HELMHOUSE is being built on this site, a residential building consisting of a front house, a side wing and a garden house with a commercial area on the ground floor of the front house. The impressive character of the residential building is given a contemporary feel, which enables quality urban living in the 21st century. The rear of building is tapered at the top creating an airier effect, which shows the diversity of uses. The renowned firm TCHOBAN VOSS ARCHITEKTEN developed a design that successfully blends with the neighboring Gründerzeit buildings.
