Festival of lights in Berlin
Every year for ten days, the Festival of Lights transforms Berlin's world-famous landmarks and monuments into a canvas for jaw-dropping illuminations. Numerous local and international lighting artists take this opportunity to project their works of art onto some of the world's most famed structures, creating an unforgettable effect on the spectators. Since 2013, the Festival of Lights has taken place in Berlin each autumn, attracting over two million visitors. The festival began in the city centre, but it has since expanded to include illuminations throughout the city.
